St Uny C of E Academy has strong links with the parishes of St Anta in Carbis Bay and St Uny in Lelant. The Priest in Charge is Reverend Etienne van Blerk.
Members of the local churches play a key role on our Christian Ethos Committee - a group that meets termly to support and further develop the impact of the school's Christian vision on pupils all round development and the well-being of all. Reverend Etienne is the Chair of the Christian Ethos Committee.
Reverend Etienne supports the school in the planning and delivery of Collective Worship. Other church members also help out with Collective Worship and support the school across a range of projects and visits.
We hold services at both churches for key festivals in the Christian calendar, such as harvest, Christmas and Easter. These services are led by children of all ages, who tell the stories and explain the significance of these events in the church year with drama, enthusiastic singing, Bible readings and prayer. Keep an eye on our newsletters and our website for upcoming dates of these services. St Uny families are welcomed to Sunday services throughout the year.
